October brings the seasonal change into Autumn with crisp days and leaves starting to fall. Some of us will be celebrating Halloween at the end of the month, getting dressed up, eating too many sweets and generally having a fun (if not scary) celebration.

October also brings the clocks changing with British Summertime ending – they go back an hour on 31st October – this well and truly signals that winter is on its way bringing the dark mornings and equally dark evenings. In the world of driving you must have been under a rock or on a desert island to not be aware of the current driver shortage and the effect it is having on our everyday lives. We salute every one of our drivers out there on the open road delivering all manner of items and keeping our country going. If you have any HGV driver friends please don’t forget our Refer a Friend scheme with the opportunity to earn yourself an extra £200.

Since having joined us last December, Miroslav has never defaulted on a shift, whilst consistently maintaining a ‘second-to-none’ flexibility in approach and attitude - and Ocado love him!

In fact, the company love him so much that he’s been offered a permanent role and sadly (for us), will be leaving on Friday (8th October) to join Ocado full time.

I’ve been in recruitment for about 4 years now, before I was working worldwide for a bio decontamination company.

Proudest moments of your life to date? Playing Cricket for England when I was younger.
