Happy New Year to you all that are reading this and we, at Driver Require, hope that you and yours had a lovely festive period. We have all chosen our New Year resolutions and claimed ‘New Year, new me’ but if truth be known it really is a case of business as usual at Driver Require. The unknown factors with the new variant, Omicron, and whether we would be in lockdown, not in lockdown etc did not and will not stop us. There is still some uncertainty of when ‘normal’ will exist but in the meantime we will continue to work hard for our drivers and of course our clients.

We have lots to look forward to this year with a couple of football tournaments amongst other sporting events– UEFA Women’s Euro in the summer and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in the latter part of the year which will get the nation all fired up and build that sense of community that they do. The Queen is celebrating her Platinum Jubilee and we are being given an additional joint Bank Holidays on 2nd and 3rd June for the celebrations – hopefully another opportunity for communities to get together and celebrate.

Let’s raise our glasses of fizzy pop to 2022 and strive on as we do, through thick and thin with our heads held high, and spirit in our hearts – here we go again.😊

Chris has been with us since August 2021, within the first few months he has made a very good impression amongst several different clients.

There are some key changes coming in to force in 2022 – it is thought that they will be introduced at the end of January if they are approved by parliament. There are seven big changes in brief as follows…

1. Cyclist given priority over drivers at junctions
2. Priority for pedestrians
3. More room must be left for cyclist
4. Mobile phone loophole banned
5. New £70 fines from council
6. Sleepy drivers risk unlimited fines
7. Speed limiters in new cars

So many of our drivers carry out incredible work for us and each month it is difficult to mention just one. Here are just some of the drivers we've acknowledged through 2021, although it has been another challenging year they have maintained an outstanding work ethic and represented Driver Require with professionalism and dedication, Going Beyond the Extra Mile.

Despite the fact we are still dealing with the ongoing pandemic and driver shortage, our drivers have continued to carry out truly extraordinary work that keeps businesses on the road and the wheels turning. Playing a vital role in ensuring supermarkets are stocked, essential medical supplies are delivered and supporting British businesses in this time of great difficulty.

We are so proud to have you on our team and so, from all of us at Driver Require, we would like to say a massive Thank You to all of the workers who have supported us and our clients through 2021 and wish you and your families all the best for 2022.
