Welcome to our September edition of the Extra Mile - this month we're discussing all things from supporting Macmillans coffee morning to an exciting new branch update!
In August, we celebrated 25 years of Driver Require - quite an achievement given that only 16% of recruitment companies make it past 17 years, so hitting 25 is no small achievement. In that time, we’ve grown from a single-branch start-up into one of the most trusted driver recruitment agencies.
To celebrate, we’ve created a special 25th anniversary coffee table book - a look back at our journey, the people who’ve shaped us, the milestones we’ve achieved, and the incredible community we’ve built along the way. From award wins and driver champions to charity events and industry changes, it’s all in there. We’re really proud of this book, the whole company and everyone in it. Next time you're in your local branch, ask to see a copy and have a flick through the history of the company!
Our Marketing Manager has been busy following various team members across the country - from service station reviews with our CEO Gwynne, to a day on the road with Ian in a lorry. We have loads of useful content coming your way, so be sure to keep your eyes on our social channels, specifically our TikTok.
On a closing note, September 10th marks World Suicide Prevention Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and the importance of reaching out for support. This day serves as a crucial reminder that mental health struggles can affect anyone, and it's vital to know that help is always available. If you or someone you know is struggling, please don’t hesitate to reach out. In the UK, you can contact the Samaritans at 116 123 or visit their website at www.samaritans.org. Your well-being matters, and you're never alone.

Join Us for Coffee and Cake
We're excited to invite you to our Macmillan Coffee Morning, here at Driver Require Head Office, on Tuesday 23rd September. This event is close to our hearts as we support Macmillan Cancer Support and the incredible work they do on a daily basis.
If you’re unable to attend but would still like to support, we welcome all donations, no matter how small. Every penny raised will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, thank you for your support.
Our Driver of the Month for September is Oliver Gill from Ocado Erith.
The team put Oliver forward after receiving an email from Ocado's Transport Manager sharing how Oliver is 'always professional, always happy, always willing to help. Happy to listen to any feedback given and generally a very helpful, professional and positive driver'.
As a big “THANK YOU” for being a Driver Require Superhero, we will be sending Oliver a £25 Amazon gift card. Thank you for your hard work and commitment, Oliver – we are proud to have you as part of the Driver Require Team!
