The clocks have gone back, the mornings are crisper, and we’ve officially entered the colder months. It’s time to layer up and get ready for winter. ❄️

November is a month of reflection and remembrance, with Armistice Day on the 11th. At Driver Require, we’re proud to honour those who have served, and as signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant, we’re committed to supporting veterans and their families. We’ve included more on this in this edition.

November also marks the annual Movember campaign, highlighting the importance of men's health, particularly prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health. Growing a moustache is one of the simplest ways to get involved, but it’s not the only way to raise awareness. More details on how you can participate are here.

With Halloween behind us and Guy Fawkes Night celebrated, it's a great time to remind you about HGV Radio – a station created specifically for drivers like you. Whether you're on the road or taking a break, tune in for music, news, and updates that matter to HGV drivers. You can listen online at HGV Radio. 🎶

As always, if you’re seeking work over the peak period, be sure to let your nearest branch know your availability so we can get you on the road this winter. 🚛

Never Forget🎖️
Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday present a good opportunity to reflect, show respect, and remember both those who risked their lives and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our future.

Here at Driver Require we are very proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant. This covenant sets out the relationship between the nation, the government and our Armed Forces. It recognises that the whole nation has a moral obligation to members of the Armed Forces and their families, and it establishes how they should expect to be treated. The covenant exists to redress the disadvantages that the armed forces community may face in comparison to other citizens and to recognise sacrifices made. This is something we at Driver Require passionately believe in and support.

To all those who have served - thank you for your service.

On the Road with Derri🚛
Did you catch our "On the Road with Derri" series? If not, you can still watch the entire journey across our social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

In this series, we followed Derri, one of our female lorry drivers, to give viewers a real insight into the day-to-day life on the road and to help shine a light on the vital role that drivers play in keeping everything moving. With National Lorry Week this week, there’s no better time to celebrate and recognise the incredible work that lorry drivers do to keep our economy and communities thriving.

We’re passionate about increasing awareness of the hard work and dedication that you put in every day, and we believe that sharing these stories helps build the respect that drivers deserve. We’d love to hear your thoughts on the series, so feel free to drop us a comment or message!

If you’d be interested in being featured in one of our future videos, let us know! We’re keen to continue spreading the word about the industry and showcasing the incredible work you do.
