Welcome to the September edition of Extra Mile! As we move into autumn, we have plenty of updates and opportunities to share with you. This month, we're excited to feature our involvement in the Macmillan Coffee Morning—an event close to our hearts and a great chance for us all to come together for a good cause.
September 10th also marks World
Suicide Prevention Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and the importance of reaching out for support. This day serves as a crucial reminder that mental health struggles can affect anyone, and it's vital to know that help is always available. If you or someone you know is struggling, please don’t hesitate to reach out. In the UK, you can contact the Samaritans at 116 123 or visit their website at www.samaritans.org. Your well-being matters, and you're never alone.
In addition, this edition includes a blog on key factors to
consider when working with agencies, a spotlight on our Driver of the Month, the latest hot jobs, and all the news you need to stay informed.
Let's get into it...
You're Invited☕
We're excited to invite you to our Macmillan Coffee Morning, here at Driver Require Head Office, on Monday 23rd September.
This event is close to our hearts as we support Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that has provided invaluable support to our CEO, Kieran Smith, over the past ten months.
Kieran has been undergoing treatment for a brain tumour and Macmillan has been a pillar of support throughout this challenging journey. Thanks to their funding, Kieran received Proton Beam Therapy and accommodation in London during his weeks of treatment.
Now, we want to give back and raise substantial funds for Macmillan, a charity that continues to support countless individuals and families.
If you’re unable to attend but would still like to support, we welcome all donations, no matter how small. Every penny raised will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, thank you for your support.
Let's come together to show our support for Kieran and many others who benefit from Macmillan's incredible work.
If you aren't local to our Stevenage Branch, our Northampton
Branch are also hosting a coffee morning, on Friday 27th September at 11am at Moutlon Park Industrial Estate, 41 Lower Farm Road, Moulton Park, Northampton, NN3 6X.
Factors To Consider With Agencies⛰️
In this month's newsletter, we're highlighting an essential read for all drivers considering agency work. Our latest blog offers valuable insights to help you make informed decisions and ensure you find the right agency for your needs. Whether you're already part of our team or thinking about making the switch to Driver Require, this guide is designed to
support your career choices. Don't keep this just for yourself—forward it to any driver friends who might be weighing their options with agencies. It could be just the advice they need.
Our Driver of the Month for September is Oliver Babik from our Stevenage Branch.
The team nominated Oliver as he has recently been working for a client who has a lot of European work and he has done
an outstanding job. Every client Oliver works for speaks very highly of him and always ask for him back.
As a big "THANK YOU" for being a Driver Require Superhero we will be sending Oliver a £25 Amazon gift card. Thank you for all your hard work Oliver and for Going the Extra Mile, we
are delighted to have you part of the Driver Require Team.
