March, where did that come from? Meteorologically Spring has started, buds are appearing on trees and bushes and, typically, snow is forecast. Sunrise will occur before 06:00 on the 22nd and Sunset after 18:00 on the 13th. The days are getting brighter.

Spring signals new beginnings, a fresh start, the transition from Winter to Summer, from cold to warm and from Roast Beef to Salad. With International Women’s Day on the 8th, and Mothering Sunday on the 19th, a chance to celebrate re-birth and renewal. March is a month of hope and expectation.

The escalating heating bills should be easing soon, many families will start turning the thermostat down and even turning off the heating in the expectation of warmer nights. And, don’t forget, the clocks β€˜spring forward’ on the 26th, so we all get 1 hour less sleep.

March 1st, being St David’s Day, is obviously very important for me, and as a Welshman, the rugby is a source of grief and concern, the Rugby World Cup being only 6 months away. Although the Englanders amongst us will have enjoyed the result last weekend, I expect there is a much greater test of the country’s rugby revival to come against the mighty French team.

For all of our drivers, January and February have been too quiet, but we should be seeing a resurgent demand soon. Many businesses have tightened their belts, but still need to get their deliveries out. Many thanks to our loyal drivers, we are doing everything we can to repay your loyalty with good quality, regular work.

International Women's Day 🚺
Tomorrow is International Women's Day, a chance to campaign for a world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. It is also an opportunity to celebrate women's achievement and today, we want to take the opportunity to celebrate all the amazing women who work within our company.

The women pictured help keep Driver Require's wheels turning from many perspectives. Within the branches as consultants, account managers and resourcers, and within Head Office covering finance, executive assistant and marketing - all key aspects of what we do.

Who are you celebrating this International Women's Day?

Mothering Sunday🎕
Sunday 19th March brings us Mother's Day and whilst it's a celebration for many, we also recognise it can be a tough day for others. We are thinking of all those who are without their mother, mothers who are without their children, those with strained relationships, those who are yearning to be mothers and those who have chosen not to be mothers.
Our Driver of the Month for March is Bruno Moura from our Stevenage Branch. Bruno is a new pass Class 1 driver who has been working with one of our key clients. He is very adaptable and happy to work on Class 1, Class 2, or Van, where needed. The branch recognise Bruno's flexibility, highlighting if there's a shift that needs covering with another client, he is always happy to help out.

As a big β€œTHANK YOU” for being a Driver Require Superhero we will be sending Bruno a Β£25 Amazon gift card. Thank you for all your hard work Bruno and for Going the Extra Mile, we are delighted to have you part of the Driver Require Team.
