February can feel like a funny month, the expectations of starting the new year off in the 'correct' way - some have exceeded and some have fallen by the wayside. However, the evenings are finally getting lighter and the days are getting longer, news that is music to many people's ears!

The Six Nations has officially started, and if you're supporting England we didn't kick off the campaign with the best start - let's hope we have a better result against Italy on Sunday!

If you're not into sport, maybe TV is your thing? Happy Valley concluded on Sunday night. I've started from Series 1 so am quite behind, and dodging spoilers is proving difficult! It seems to be a mixed bag of feelings from the finale, judgement will be made when I get time to make my way through the episodes!

In the next section you'll read more about why I've been so busy recently, I'm currently training for the London Marathon which is taking place on the 23rd April. I'm equally excited and petrified for the day, please do let us know if you're running the marathon, or taking on any charity events this year - we'd love to hear your stories.

On Sunday 23rd April 2023, Marketing Manager Katy Tyler will be taking on the London Marathon to raise vital funds and awareness for a charity very close to her heart, Meningitis Now.

Katy said: "In December 2013, we lost my brother's girlfriend, Sarah, to meningitis aged just 19. Since then, I've been determined to raise the profile of the disease, as before we lost Sarah I had no idea what meningitis was, let alone the signs and symptoms to look out for.

There's a very common misconception that meningitis only affects babies and the rash is the key sign. Sarah was 19 and didn't have a rash at all, highlighting just how important it is to be aware of all the signs and symptoms. Meningitis Now are a fantastic charity who aim to ensure no-one in the UK loses their life to meningitis and all those affected by the disease get the help and support they need.

As an asthmatic who doesn't enjoy running, I really do need all the support I can get! I would hugely appreciate any donation, no matter how big or small, it'll make a huge difference to the charity, and to my training. You can read my full story, and donate, here.
