December has arrived!! 🎄🎅How did we get here?! I don’t know about you but this year has whizzed by in a blink of an eye.

Whilst I am looking forward to the festive period with my family and friends, I am profoundly aware of those that are maybe having a lonelier Xmas - one where there are no presents under the tree, or even worse, struggling to put food on the table.

The cost of living crisis is hitting hard everywhere and I for one will be looking how I can help in my local community, whether it be through a nationwide support system like The Salvation Army, Shelter or a local homeless charity. In Head Office we have started collecting food for The Trussell Trust that we will hand over before Christmas so they have time to distribute – although food banks should not just be for Christmas, so maybe put an extra item in your shop each week and donate all year round.

Jenny has been back out on the road and this time visited Moto Services, Tamworth.

The cleanliness was impressive - from the toilet and shower facilities to the eating areas where there were no dirty tables in sight. Whilst there are is a good selection of places to eat, there are no overly hot healthy choices.

There's a handy laundrette outside (which was in use) if you need to get some washing done on the road

Whilst the facilities seem to be geared more at families than the single traveller, it's always a good sign when there are lots of lorries parked on site.
