September heralds the end of summer and what a summer we have had – scorching temperatures, drought in so many areas, some fantastic sporting achievements and our first summer in a couple of years with no restrictions with the festivals and local outdoor events making a welcome return👏

September brings structure back to family life with the return to school and the shops fill with the paraphernalia for Halloween and they are even squeezing in some Christmas goodies 😲 whilst we hope to stretch out the good weather and experience an Indian summer☀️

I did not want to mention the C word this early on and as this publication is released it is 109 days to the big day 🎄 – we will blink and it will be here. It is World Suicide Day on 10th Sept and we wanted to share a little reminder to check in with your mates remembering the ask twice rule – Are you ok? Then ask again, you may find the second answer may be very different to the first!

Roman Kemp presented a very powerful documentary and highlighted the ask twice rule and the rate of suicide in males – this is a relevant watch for both our male and female readers. If you want to give it a watch click here.

Above we have listed a selection of helplines that you can use or share with a mate or loved one. They are not only available for those that require help but can be a support to those who are helping someone in need.

Brett recently passed his Class 1 licence which is a great achievement, he is currently driving a mixture of Class 1 and Class 2 for one of our clients. He is always willing to help when the Stevenage Branch need cover whether it’s at weekends, between different clients, or working outside of his start times. Brett will drive days or nights to help the needs of the business when required. He is polite to all clients and is always willing to go above and beyond to accommodate client needs. He is a good all-round driver and a fantastic asset to Driver Require.
